Operation: Shieldwall are the Alliance forces that have landed in Krasarang Wilds. Their main purpose is to create a presence in Pandaria and stand against the Horde forces which arrived on the opposite shore of Krasarang Wilds. This reputation is only available to Alliance players, the Horde counterpart is the Dominance Offensive.
Reputation gain with this faction is pretty straight forward, being mostly through daily quests with some regular quests scattered along the way. Once you’re Revered, don’t forget to get your Grand Commendation of Operation: Shieldwall from Agent Malley to increase your rate of reputation gain up to Exalted. Gaining reputation with this faction allows you to purchase some 496 item level gear with valor points and a Grand Armored Gryphon flying mount.
Reputation with Operation: Shieldwall is mostly gained through daily quests but there are some regular quests that become available at different levels of reputation. Start with Meet the Scout which will be picked up automatically at level 90 when in Shrine of the Seven Stars. Follow the short quest chain to meet King Varian Wrynn in Krasarang Wilds, unlock the Lion’s Landing Alliance base, and unlock the daily quests.
From here, do daily quests every day and the regular quests chains as they become available. For a full list of all the regular quests and when they become available, please see my quests page.
To unlock the dailies, you will first need to complete a short quest chain starting with Meet the Scout and ending with Lion’s Landing. Once this quest is completed, the dailies will become available.
There are 4 different options for daily quest hubs for Operation: Shieldwall, 1 of these hubs will be available each day. A total of 900 reputation can be gain each day through these daily quests. You can always start out in Lion’s Landing to either get the dailies or a breadcrumb quest that will lead you to the dailies.

If you want to spend some extra time working on your rep, there is an additional daily you can complete for an extra 200 reputation each day. There are 3 quest options but only the first one completed will award the extra reputation. First, purchase one of the 3 following items with your Domination Point Commissions and accept the attached quest.
| Item | Quest |
| Sturdy Crane Snare | Beastmaster’s Hunt: The Crane |
| Sturdy Crab Crate | Beastmaster’s Hunt: The Crab |
| Sturdy Tiger Trap | Beastmaster’s Hunt: The Tiger |
Once you’ve gathered the required items for the quest you can set your trap and capture your beast. You will then be able to battle the beast in the arena at Lion’s Landing. All these beasts require a group and would be difficult to solo, so get a party together and talk to Huntsman Blake to challenge the beast. When you kill it, you will auto-accept the relevant quest below which will award an extra 200 Operation: Shieldwall reputation for the day.
| Beast | Quest |
| Ancient Bloodcrown Crane | Ancient’s Fall |
| Colossal Viseclaw | A Colossal Victory |
| Krasari Elder | End of an Elder |
Operation: Shieldwall Achievement
There is one achievement that is directly associated with the Operation: Shieldwall reputation, Operation: Shieldwall. This achievement is earned by simply completing all of the story lines associated with the reputation. This will be done if you complete all the regular quests as the become available through your reputation progressions. For a full list of all the regular quests and when they become available, please see my quests page.
With the release of Patch 5.2, you can now select a faction to gain extra reputation with for your first dungeon and scenario of the day. Select the faction you want to gain reputation with by clicking the star next to the faction name in your reputation pane. Your first dungeon of the day will award 300 reputation with your selected faction and your first scenario will award 200 reputation with your selected faction.
If you have gained Exalted reputation with the Tillers and have unlocked all 16 plots of your farm, you can obtain ownership of the farm and start filling work orders for other Pandaria factions. These work orders are to plant 8 seeds of some kind of fruit or vegetable and give the resulting harvest to the faction requesting it. For Operation: Shieldwall the quest is Work Order: Operation: Shieldwall I which will then be followed up by Work Order: Operation: Shieldwall II. This allows you to gain an additional 400 daily reputation with Operation: Shieldwall if you don’t mind giving up the plots on your farm.
I’m In Your Base, Killing Your Dudes
There are 3 level 91 Horde rare spawns that can be found around Domination Point. These rare spawns don’t award any Operation: Shieldwall reputation but if you kill them all you will earn the achievement I’m In Your Base, Killing Your Dudes. The rare spawns also have a chance to drop a few different PVP trinkets and a Blood-Soaked Invitation to the Brawler’s Guild in Stormwind.
These NPCs are difficult but not impossible to solo. Here is the location of each one and some information about their abilities.
Muerta
Muerta is an Undead Priestess located at 11,57. Her main ability to watch out for is Wrath of the Light, which is a large circle of light that needs to be moved out of as it ticks for a significant amount of damage every second to anyone standing in it. She will cast Chains of Faith to attempt to shackle you in place but this cast can be interrupted. It’s not a big deal if Holy Bolt goes off, only bother interrupting it if you have a few people to ensure that Chains of Faith always gets interrupted.
Kar Warmaker
Kar is an Orc Warrior located at 14,57. His main ability to watch out for is Cracking Blow which is a frontal AOE ability that can be avoided. If you get hit by it, you will instantly take 60% of your health in damage. He also does a Heroic Leap and Sunder Armor, making him one of the harder rares to solo.
Ubunti the Shade
Ubunti is a Troll Rogue located at 13,66. His main ability to watch out for is Mortal Throw which will damage you for 60% of your total health. This is a cast that can be interrupted and cannot be used unless you are more than 15 yards away from him. If you are keeping him at melee range, he will try to get away from you to cast Mortal Throw by stunning you with Shank and using Shadowblink. However, you should have time to run up to him and interrupt the cast when you come out of the stun.
There are 2 scenarios associated with Operation: Shieldwall, A Little Patience and Lion’s Landing. The final quest in King Varian’s chain when he lands in Krasarang Wilds send you into the A Little Patience scenario. However, completing these scenarios does not award reputation with the faction. They have more to do with the story than being relevant to gaining this reputation.
